The East Isles Farmers Market is returning for its second season along The Mall, giving Uptown a weekly market to buy fresh food from regional farmers and cooks.
Heather will be selling pies on Thursday nights at the East Isles Farmer’s Market, starting their opening night, June 13. (That’s the evening farmer's market tucked behind Uptown on the Mall just west of Hennepin, parallel to the bike Greenway.)
The Twin Cities farmers market family continues to grow. The East Isles neighborhood has opened its arms to the “first-ever farmers market on Park Board property,” says farmers market and brand director Debbie Dachis Gold.
Food is the focus at the East Isles Farmers Market, which is midway through its first season on The Mall.
Some of the new vendors are taking advantage of the market’s “pickle booth,” which allows ultra-small purveyors to sell under the state’s Cottage Food law.
The inaugural Thursday night East Isles Farmers Market will feature 26 local food vendors, food trucks and music on The Mall between Hennepin and Humboldt.
A farmers market is in development for the green space on The Mall west of Hennepin Avenue. The East Isles Residents Association is closing in on tentative plans for an evening weekday market of about 40 food-focused vendors to launch this summer.
